Roundabouts in Montana

Currently there are several roundabouts in operation:
  • In Montana City at the intersection of Jackson Creek Road and Colonial Drive (Secondary 282 and Secondary 518)
  • Off the new South Helena Interchange at the intersection of Saddle and Colonial drives in Helena
  • On the West Reserve Loop at the intersection of Stillwater and West Reserve drives in Kalispell


  • Along the Shiloh Road corridor, MDT built roundabouts at the intersections of:
    • Zoo Drive
    • Hesper Rd
    • Knife River entrance
    • King Avenue (under construction, est. completion-fall 2010)
    • Monad Rd (under construction, est. completion-fall 2010)
    • Central Ave. (under construction, est. completion-fall 2010)
    • Broadwater Ave.
    • Grand Ave.

  • MDT constructed a roundabout at:
    • Billing Airport entrance at the intersection of Airport Rd. and 27th St

  • The City of Billings has completed construction of a roundabout on King Ave:
    • The entrance to Kohls department store on King Ave. 1/4 mile east of the intersection of King Ave and Shiloh

  • Private developers have completed construction of the following roundabouts:
    • On King Ave, 1/4 mile west of the intersection of King Ave. and Shiloh Rd
    • On Shiloh Crossing near the Shiloh 14 movie theater
    • In Ironwood subdivision
    • In West Park Plaza

    Several multilane roundabouts are in the planning stages for the Billings area.
